Laboratory Investigation of Compaction Characteristics of Plant Recycled Hot-Mix Asphalt Mixture

In this study, the compaction characteristics of recycled hot-mix asphalt (RHMA) were evaluated using void content (VV), energy index (CEI), slope accumulated (K), and lock point (LP). Then, effects parameters, including gradation RHMA, reclaimed pavement (RAP) content, temperature gyrations, number on RHMA investigated. An orthogonal experiment was designed data collected analyzed via range analysis; then, a regression model generated relying quadratic polynomial. Furthermore, used for comparison prediction mixture’s compactability during material design. Finally, mechanism discussed from perspective RAP particles. The results showed that finer aggregate gradation, higher gyration temperature, greater effective increasing RHMA. analysis suggest has greatest influence compactability, followed by content. cannot diffuse to new mixture completely, so remained particle reduces Therefore, up 50% can help achieve with efficiency.
